EBARA establishes a new company to handle sales/service of pumps in South Africa

EBARA Pumps Europe S.p.A. (“EPE”) whose parent company is EBARA Corporation (“EBARA”) hereby announces that EPE has established a new company, EBARA PUMPS SOUTH AFRICA (PTY) LTD (“EPSA”), which acquires the business from Zilmet Proprietary Limited (“Zilmet”), a South African company that markets standard pumps in South Africa.

Purpose
EBARA has proactively advanced M&A as an effective option to increase market share in the global market and enhance product lineup of Standard pump business, which is one of the core focus in EBARA’s current Medium-Term Management Plan “E-Plan2019”. By establishing a new company, EPSA, and acquiring the business of Zilmet to handle standard pump business in South Africa, EBARA will strengthen the sales function in Africa.
After establishing a new company, EBARA will further accelerate the expansion of the pump business in South Africa with marketing our products.
