In 2000, Stuart and his wife, Mary, founded Glue-More Packaging after Stuart was offered the Valco Melton Agency for South Africa. With years of industry experience, Stuart brought vision and integrity, while Mary contributed strong communication skills and determination. Together, they faced the challenges of starting a new business, each playing to their strengths to build their dream.
From day one, Stuart's goal was not only to sell quality adhesive equipment but to offer unmatched service and support. He began cleaning and servicing equipment by hand from his garage in Benoni, determined to ensure customers had minimal downtime. With Valco Melton’s premium products and a promise of 24-hour breakdown support, Glue-More quickly became known for reliability and commitment.
Mary's role evolved to keep operations running smoothly both at work and at home. Her efforts were vital as the business expanded. By 2004, Glue-More was thriving, and in 2010, the company won its first “Mpact Supplier of the Year” award, an acknowledgement of their dedication and service.
In 2014, their son Chris joined the business, bringing fresh energy and sharing his parents' passion. He learned the value of always putting the customer first, a principle that defines the Glue-More brand. Whether at 3 am or 10 pm, the team remains ready to assist.
In 2019, Glue-More proudly received the Mpact Supplier of the Year award again, a testament to their ongoing excellence.

A PASSIONATE HERITAGE
In 1698 Simon van der Stel granted farmland to free burgher, Hendrik Sneewind. Later, the farm changed hands to Captain Diemer when he married the widow Sneewind, and thus Diemersdal was formally established. An inventory found in an old leather-bound book dating back to 1702 lists 45 wine barrels, a wine press and glass bottles, indicating that wine has been made on the Estate for over three centuries. Six generations of Louws have practiced their art with skill and passion at Diemersdal since the Estate passed into their hands in 1885. More than 12 decades later, Diemersdal is a well-known landmark in the lush Durbanville Valley, one of the Cape’s oldest wine regions.

Cold Steri Precooling
All shipments are precooled according to DAFF/PPECB guidelines to ensure that we meet the Sterilisation requirements of the destination countries. Fruit for these shipments are monitored via a computerised system throughout the entire process, backed up by staff on duty 24/7, giving you full traceability while under our watchful eye. The loading of each container destined for a Steri market, is supervised by a PPECB inspector.
We have dedicated staff facilitating these shipments making it as hassle free as possible.
Cold Storage
In close proximity to the Port of Cape Town, just off the N7, we have SAFT Atlantic and SAFT Killarney, ideally located as a consolidation facility to feed specialised reefer (conventional) shipping terminals, yet close enough to act as a containerisation facility. Fruit is sent to SAFT Atlantic and SAFT Killarney for this purpose from areas as far as the Eastern Cape and Northern Cape.
ColdHarvest offers its services in the beautiful Paarl region, making it possible for producers to deliver their fruit in small or large quantities to this facility virtually on their doorstep. ColdHarvest also has a private railsiding and can receive or dispatch fruit by rail.
Controlled Atmosphere (CA) Storage
Our ColdHarvest cold store offers 18 controlled atmosphere chambers with a total capacity of 15 662 bins. Quick loading and precise gassing to the correct atmosphere will ensure the optimum outcome. Constant monitoring is done via a computerised system, backed up by staff on duty 24/7.
Inspection
We have facilities for PPECB and the DAFF, which is also used by various exporters for post harvest inspections. In addition to the normal inspections facilities, we have USDA approved inspection facilities at our ColdHarvest, SAFT Atlantic and SAFT Killarney cold stores, making this a one stop shop for USA containerisation..
