Our restaurant offers the very best in Winelands cuisine. Our lunch menu is regularly updated according to seasonality,and our chef only uses the freshest locally sourced ingredients, including from our very own garden. We also have a fantastic kids menu and great selection of artisanal beers. The kitchen is open from 11:00 daily and serves a sensational snack menu, lunches and cakes throughout the day. The food is wholesome, hearty and delicious – you will want to linger long and savour it.

ABOUT US
Wines of South Africa (WoSA) is a fully inclusive body, representing all South African producers of wine who export their products. WOSA, which was established in its current form in 1999, has over 500 producers on its database, comprising all the major South African wine exporters. It is constituted as a not-for-profit company and is totally independent of any producer or wholesaling company. It is also independent of any government department, although it is recognised by government as an Export Council.
WoSA is funded by a statutory levy per litre on all natural and sparkling wines exported.
A PASSIONATE HERITAGE
In 1698 Simon van der Stel granted farmland to free burgher, Hendrik Sneewind. Later, the farm changed hands to Captain Diemer when he married the widow Sneewind, and thus Diemersdal was formally established. An inventory found in an old leather-bound book dating back to 1702 lists 45 wine barrels, a wine press and glass bottles, indicating that wine has been made on the Estate for over three centuries. Six generations of Louws have practiced their art with skill and passion at Diemersdal since the Estate passed into their hands in 1885. More than 12 decades later, Diemersdal is a well-known landmark in the lush Durbanville Valley, one of the Cape’s oldest wine regions.

The noble varieties that go into Diemersdal wines are grown under optimal conditions in deep red Hutton soils on the slopes of the Dorstberg. Slowly ripened to perfection in dryland vineyards by cooling sea breezes from the Atlantic Ocean, the grapes develop concentrated flavours, creating elegant wines with prominent varietal character.
